about

Larry Sparks' new album, IT'S JUST ME, represents a distinct departure. He continues to dig into the roots of any number of revered country classics, but this time he does entirely on his own, except for the occasional contribution of his son, Larry "D" Sparks on the bass. It's an idea he has kicked around for a while and the result is a rich and resilient set of songs all flush with true tenderness, heartfelt emotion and the kind of conviction that only a true luminary like Larry Sparks is capable of delivering. Some of the song writers include Hank Williams, Lefty Frizzell and George Jones as well as such up and comers as Daniel Crabtree and Wyatt McCubbin. The album is yet another milestone in a career with no shortage of storied accomplishments.
